The Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits (GIEK)

The Norwegian Guarantee Institute for Export Credits (GIEK) has covered Norwegian exporters'  short-term credit risk for over 70 years. Since 2001, this activity has been organized in a wholly owned subsidiary: GIEK Credit Insurance.GIEK Credit Insurance is a member of CreditAlliance, which is one of the world's largest networks providing credit insurance and credit information. The alliance consists of members from over 50 countries, and it provides access to faster and better credit information plus local assistance in connection with claims handling.

Eximbank

The objective of the Hungarian Export-Import Bank Plc. (Eximbank) and the Hungarian Export Credit Insurance Plc. (MEHIB) is to serve Hungarian exporters through the provision of effective financing and insurance facilities. Acting as a tool for providing economic-policy incentive, the mission of Eximbank and MEHIB is to support Hungarian exporting enterprises in facilitating the retention of jobs, growth in employment and an expansion of Hungary’s export capacities. Overseen by the Ministry for the National Economy, Eximbank and MEHIB perform the tasks of Hungary’s export credit agency, which are regulated by the legislative frameworks of the OECD and the EU, with the basic objective of facilitating the sale of Hungarian goods and services in foreign markets. The Bank and the Insurer, which operate within an integrated framework, carry out their duties with a shared organisation and corporate identity, under the name of EXIM.

The International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA) provides a forum for the continuous exchange of ideas and information, in order to support improving and developing the specialized services its members give the business world.This includes the exchange of views and experience about trading conditions and developments in particular industrial and trade sectors as well as markets, the exchange of information about credit risks and co-operation through reinsurance    arrangements.The Association has members located on all five continents insuring risks in practically every country in the world.
