05.10.2009The 27th Cersaie, the biggest international exhibition of ceramic tiles and bathroom furnishings was held during 29.09.09-3.10.2009 in Italy, Bologna.
Katerina Bogdanenko, Director of the Agency attended the exhibition within business visit with the view to enhancing cooperation between international exporters of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishing. During the exhibition a number of meetings were held, where the main aspects and problems as for partnering with Ukraine, CIS countries and other post Soviet governments were outlined, as well as up-to-date mechanisms facilitating problems solution and foreign-economic risks minimization for foreign partners were presented.
In spite of the sharp economic situation in the world, the overall figures confirmed not only the show’s stability in terms of exhibitors and visitors but above all its international importance for the represented sectors. Thus, Cersaie confirmed its broad market appeal with a total attendance of 83,137 visitors. The venue hosted 1,036 exhibitors from 34 different countries, 510 of which were from the ceramic tile sector and 380 from the bathroom furnishing sector.
Moreover, apart from well-known reputable tile and bathroom furnishings producers, new players were also noted at the show.
The exhibition space and quantity of exhibitors had reached record figures of 176,000 square meters due to the opening of a new two-floor hall of 20000 square meters.
Next year’s event, Cersaie 2010, will be held in Bologna from 28 September to 2 October.
